Our story is the continuation of a family wine-growing hobby that began in the late 1960s by Lori’s beloved grandfather.

His small vineyard, located in the fertile soils of California’s San Joaquin Valley, was the place where fond memories were made & long-held dreams took root. Lori spent many hours riding the tractor on her papas’ lap, disking the vineyard rows together & learning the hard work of farming.

After relocating to Idaho with her family in 2003, Lori’s dream took shape with fresh inspiration in the form of her children & her husband, Mark Pasculli’s, French & Italian heritage. Lori & Mark aquired a neglected vineyard of cab franc in Idaho’s vast Snake River Valley AVA in 2016. They spent years revitalizing & enriching the vineyard’s soil & made plans to care for the land in a way that is sustainable.

Today, this land produces gold, award-winning wine & is the anchor of the family’s burgeoning wine business.

Rolling Hills Vineyard is a true family effort, with Mark & Lori overseeing all winemaking decisions & youngest son Zach designing & putting out all marketing content.

We truly hope you enjoy drinking our wines as much as we enjoy creating it.

From a Grandfather's Barn to Award-Winning Idaho Estate

The story of Rolling Hills Vineyard began long before we planted our first vine in Eagle's foothills. It started in the 1960s, in California's San Joaquin Valley, where Lori's beloved grandfather Matty tended his small vineyard. Young Lori would spend hours riding the tractor on her papa's lap, disking the vineyard rows together, learning not just the hard work of farming but the love of the land that would shape her life.

That dream traveled across generations and across state lines. Both Mark and Lori's families came to America through Ellis Island—Mark's grandfather arriving just before WWII, Lori's grandmother's family fleeing the Assyrian genocide in Persia. Their shared immigrant heritage instilled profound values: family unity, working together, and honoring the land.

When we moved to Idaho in 2003, we watched the wine industry spring back to life. In 2016, we saw a neglected Cabernet Franc vineyard in the Eagle Foothills and knew—this was our chance to do something together as a family. We were all in.

The Idaho Difference: Terroir You Can Taste

Rolling Hills sits in the Eagle Foothills AVA, Idaho's second American Viticultural Area. Our terroir is unique: sandy loam soil mixed with granite pebbles, enriched with volcanic ash from ancient Lake Idaho, all influenced by nearby Prospect Peak at 4,874 feet elevation.

Daughter Savannah opened our Garden City tasting room. Youngest son Zach creates all our photography and video content. Even our beloved golden retriever Bleu became part of the story—honored in our Mascot wine, which supports Idaho animal rescue organizations with 10% of proceeds.

We work with incredible Idaho winemaking talent and source thoughtfully from top vineyards in the Snake River Valley and beyond. Every bottle reflects our commitment to quality and our gratitude for this community that welcomed us.

The weather hasn’t fully warmed up yet, but we are starting to see sunnier days and clearer skies! With the shift in weather, you may be thinking of switching up your beverage of choice. If you aren’t ready to fully shift to rosé and chardonnay for summer, we suggest gradually transitioning from bold and dramatic reds to a more fruit-forward red.

Starting off with our 2020 Azzurro is a wonderful spring wine that still exhibits bold flavor while being a little more fruit-forward with layers of black cherry, raspberry and plum. This blend of merlot, cabernet franc and malbec will ease the transition from your winter wine into your refreshing summer wines.

Another option is the 2020 Zinfandel. This wine is bursting with jammy flavors such as plums, cherry, blackberry and just a hint of cinnamon. This wine gets a hint of tannins from its French oak barrel to strike a wonderful balance between fruity and oaky. We love this as a transitional wine to a chardonnay.

Our 2019 Chardonnay is incredibly well-balanced for smooth sipping whether you are relaxing after a long day or entertaining friends at a dinner party. Chardonnay is easily one of the most common or famous of the white wines. However, its versatility is what also makes it unique. With our fermentation process, we are able to mold the flavors into something truly special and distinctive. Our 2019 Chardonnay was fermented in a combination of French oak, concrete egg and stainless steel barrels. This process creates a creamy finish with wonderful fruity flavors.
